  • 2018 - Price range: €0,0005662 - €0,01562
    In April, XDC quickly rose to about €0,0156, but then a long decline followed. In December, the price fell to around €0,00057 and ended the year at about €0,00062. That happened during the 2018 crypto winter, when the crypto market kept falling for a long stretch after the strong growth of the year before. XinFin also sold XDCE that year, an ERC-20 token on Ethereum that was meant to be swapped one-for-one for the native XDC token. The XDC mainnet was not live yet at the time.
  • 2019 - Price range: €0,0001392 - €0,002377
    XDC started the year around €0,00062. The price fell to about €0,00014 in June and then rose sharply to about €0,00238 in September. By the end of the year, some of that gain had faded again: XDC closed around €0,00088. In June, the XDC Network mainnet went live. That gave the project its own blockchain for transactions and smart contracts, instead of just the earlier Ethereum token.
  • 2020 - Price range: €0,0004803 - €0,009514
    XDC started the year around €0,00088 and fell to about €0,00048 during the broad sell-off in March. After that, the price recovered strongly and climbed to about €0,00951 in August. In the months after that, XDC fell again and ended the year around €0,00407. The price moves took place during the financial turmoil around COVID-19, which also hit the crypto market hard. In December, XDCE tokens were stolen from AlphaEx's hot wallet. After that, XinFin changed the terms for swapping the old Ethereum token for XDC.
  • 2021 - Price range: €0,003778 - €0,1657
    XDC started the year around €0,0041 and rose in February and March to about €0,03. In April, the price climbed further to above €0,10, after which a pullback followed. After a recovery in the summer, XDC reached about €0,1657 in August. The price then fell back and ended the year around €0,0862, still about 2018,2% higher than at the start of the year. The moves lined up with a year in which the crypto market first grew strongly, corrected in May, and later picked up again. In August, XDC joined an initiative for financing trade receivables; in September, the network saw its first NFT transaction representing rights to those trade assets.
  • 2022 - Price range: €0,01941 - €0,09406
    XDC started the year around €0,0863 and rose further in early January to about €0,0941. After that, the price mostly declined, with a short bounce in the spring. In May, the drop lined up with the collapse of TerraUSD and LUNA, which caused heavy stress in the crypto market. In November, the fall of FTX followed, which added to the turmoil. XDC fell to about €0,0194 in December and ended the year around €0,0237, about 72,6% lower than at the start. In July, Tradeteq announced the launch of TRADA tokens on XDC Network . These tokens have characteristics of securities. Later that year, the TRADA tokens were actually introduced on the network.
  • 2023 - Price range: €0,02303 - €0,10
    XDC started the year around €0,0237 and moved gradually higher in the first half. In July, the rise sped up: the price climbed from about €0,03 to around €0,10 in early August. After that, it pulled back and XDC ended the year around €0,053, about 124% higher than at the start. In May, SBI VC Trade started offering XDC in Japan, giving local access to the token. In September, SBI and TradeFinex also announced plans for a joint company around XDC in Japan.
  • 2024 - Price range: €0,0204 - €0,10
    XDC started the year around €0,053, but gradually fell in the first few months. After a further drop in the summer to about €0,0204, the price recovered strongly. In December, XDC climbed to about €0,10 and ended the year around €0,0798, about 50,6% higher than at the start. The rise in December followed a year in which the U.S. SEC approved spot bitcoin exchange-traded products, making it easier for traditional investors to get exposure to bitcoin. XDC also introduced XDC 2.0 that year, an upgrade that finalizes transactions faster and strengthens checks on abnormal validator behavior.
  • 2025 - Price range: €0,03837 - €0,1515
    XDC started the year around €0,0798 and quickly rose to about €0,1515 in January. After that, the price mostly declined, with a few temporary rebounds. In December, XDC fell to about €0,0384 and ended the year around €0,0438, about 45,1% lower than at the start. In July, a new investment product was added: 21Shares launched a physically backed XDC ETP on Euronext. In September, native USDC became available on XDC, along with infrastructure to move USDC between blockchains.
  • Q1 2026 - Price range: €0,025 - €0,04676
    XDC started the quarter around €0,0438 and briefly rose to about €0,0468 in early January. After that, the price fell steadily and dropped to €0,025 in early February. XDC recovered somewhat, but ended the quarter around €0,0260, about 40,7% lower than at the start. In January, the XDC Foundation said Anchorage Digital was offering institutional custody for XDC. Raze Finance also went live on XDC, with USDC vaults that can be backed by assets including credit and commodities.
  • Q2 2026 - Price range: €0,024218 - €0,0317825
    XDC started the quarter around €0,0260 and moved mostly sideways in April and early May. After that, the price climbed to about €0,0318 in mid-May, but the rise did not last. By the end of June, XDC was around €0,0243, about 6,6% lower than at the start of the quarter. In May, Republic became an institutional validator on the network. Teller went live at the end of May with loans backed by XDC, letting users on the network use XDC as collateral to borrow.
  • Q3 2026 - Price range: €0,022423 - €0,032985
    XDC started the quarter around €0,0243 and gradually declined in July. In early August, the price fell to about €0,0224. After that, XDC recovered step by step, with a stronger rise at the end of September to about €0,0330. The price ended the quarter around €0,0306, about 26,1% higher than at the start. In July, XDC Payments went live with Bridge, a company from Stripe. The integration offers access between traditional currencies and crypto, plus multi-currency payments with settlement in USDC on XDC. Uphold also introduced XDC staking on the network for eligible users of the platform.
  • Q4 2026 - Price range: €0,0274875 - €0,031985
    In the first days of October, XDC fell from about €0,0306 to around €0,0275. After that, the price bounced back and was around €0,0314 on October 9, about 2,6% higher than on October 1. In the same period, the XDC Foundation said XDC had become available through Robinhood Crypto, expanding access to the token through that platform.

Upcoming Technical Updates


  • Distribute Protector and Observer node rewards on-chain - Expected in October 2026 - A planned network upgrade is meant to automatically distribute rewards for Protector and Observer nodes through the protocol. Those rewards currently come from the XDC Ecosystem Reward Wallet. The rollout is a target for October, but it still depends on development, testing, approval, and the mainnet launch.
