  • 2019 - Price range: €0.1582 - €2.964
    The price peaked at around €2.96 in June and then dropped sharply to about €0.16 in October, ending the year around €0.21. The strong early volatility lined up with Algorand’s Mainnet going live in mid-June 2019, when the network and the ALGO token became publicly usable.
  • 2020 - Price range: €0.0958 - €0.6457
    After hitting a low in April around €0.096, ALGO recovered to a summer peak near €0.65 and ended the year around €0.25, about 21.2% higher than where it started the year. In 2020, the Algorand Foundation launched the AlgoGrants program and USDC became available on Algorand, developments that supported more developer activity and stablecoin liquidity.
  • 2021 - Price range: €0.2459 - €2.437
    ALGO surged during the crypto bull year and reached about €2.44 in November. The year ended around €1.53, which works out to a gain of about 505% from the start of the year. That move happened against the backdrop of a broad crypto market rally and growing institutional custody and DeFi partnerships for Algorand.
  • 2022 - Price range: €0.1507 - €1.631
    The price fell over the year from about €1.40 at the start of 2022 to around €0.15 at the end of December, about 88.9% lower than at the beginning of the year. This weak stretch lined up with broad market stress in November after the collapse of FTX, which put heavy pressure on the overall trading environment that year.

    The year started around €0.185 and saw a strong late-year rally with a peak in December near €0.58, after which ALGO ended December around €0.32, a yearly gain of about 72.2%. In early 2024, major AVM and protocol improvements were rolled out, and approval of U.S. spot bitcoin ETFs changed broader market liquidity and interest in crypto that year.
  • 2025 - Price range: €0.08963 - €0.481735
    ALGO opened the year above €0.43 and peaked early in February around €0.48, but then fell and ended 2025 around €0.10, a drop of about 76.4% from the start of the year. In July 2025, Algorand announced integration with Wormhole Native Token Transfers to make cross-chain token movement easier, a relevant development for interoperability and liquidity in 2025.

    The quarter started around €0.1018, hit an early peak near €0.124, and fell to a low of about €0.068 in February. The quarter ended at €0.071744, a drop of about 29.5% from the start of the quarter. This period lined up with ongoing reporting about rising decentralization and increasing ALGO staking on the network.
