Solana Price History


  • In 2020 – In March 2020, Solana was launched with the issuance of the SOL token. The first trading price was around €0.70. In the months that followed, the price mostly remained below €1.
  • In 2021 – Solana truly broke through during the 2021 bull market. The network received a lot of attention due to its extremely high transaction speed and low costs. In November 2021, SOL reached an all-time high of over €230. This was partly driven by the huge popularity of DeFi projects and NFT marketplaces built on Solana.
  • In 2022 – After the collapse of the crypto market and the fall of FTX, with which Solana was heavily associated, the price plummeted. SOL dropped below €10, wiping out much of its previous gains.
  • In 2023 – Despite the setback in 2022, Solana recovered strongly. Thanks to a growing ecosystem of dApps, network improvements, and increasing community support, the price climbed back above €100 by the end of 2023.
  • In 2024 – Solana experienced a massive meme coin hype, with tokens like Bonk and other community-driven projects generating enormous trading volumes. This attracted millions of new users to the network and showcased its transaction speed and low costs worldwide. In addition, the Firedancer validator client, developed by Jump Crypto, entered its testing phase in 2024. This new client significantly improved the network’s performance, scalability, and security, and was seen as a crucial step for the future of Solana.
  • In 2025 – Solana continued to develop as one of the fastest and most scalable blockchains. With the further implementation of Firedancer, the network’s capacity expanded significantly. The SOL price rose to around €210 in September 2025, but declined sharply in the months that followed. On December 31, 2025, Solana traded around €105, representing a drop of approximately 50% from its September peak. This decline was partly driven by increasing geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, including the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas and escalations involving Iran, as well as rising oil prices and inflation concerns that led investors to reduce exposure to risk assets.
  • In 2026 (to date) – The downward trend continued into early 2026. At the beginning of February, the SOL price dropped to around €66. Ongoing macroeconomic uncertainty and pressure on risk assets continued to weigh on the market.
