Sui price history


  • In 2022 – Mysten Labs was founded in 2021 by former Meta developers from the Diem project. In 2022, Mysten Labs announced the development of the Sui blockchain. In August of that year, an incentivized testnet was launched, and in September the project raised $300 million in a funding round with investors such as a16z, Binance Labs, and Circle. At that time, the SUI token was not yet publicly tradable.
  • In 2023 – In April 2023, a token sale of the Sui network’s token, SUI, took place. For approximately €0.09, you could acquire one SUI. At the official release of the cryptocurrency, SUI was almost immediately listed on major exchanges. This boosted the network’s popularity and, consequently, its trading volume. The network experienced incredible growth, reaching 9 million active accounts and a TVL of over $500 million. Sui positioned itself as a suitable network for NFTs and blockchain games. Projects such as BlueMove and the gaming console SuiPlay0x1 were launched. The first year was highly successful, as the SUI price reached around €1.10. However, in October the SUI price dropped to €0.35.
  • In 2024 – The network continued to grow in 2024 and processed more than 4.5 billion transactions that year. In 2024, the network introduced zkLogin, which allows users to log in with Google and Facebook, making onboarding to Web3 easier. The Mysticeti consensus engine was also introduced, reducing transaction finality to around 39 milliseconds. This enabled Sui to compete with other ultra-fast and scalable blockchains such as Solana. In addition, major stablecoins like USDC and USDT became available on Sui, giving the DeFi ecosystem a strong boost. The price that year fluctuated between approximately €0.40 and €4.60, supported by positive market sentiment.
  • In 2025 – After the approval of the Bitcoin ETF, other cryptocurrencies sought to follow suit, including Sui. In March, Canary Capital submitted an application to the U.S. SEC for a spot SUI ETF. This positioned Sui as one of the largest and most popular networks. Meanwhile, the ecosystem continued to expand with a strong focus on NFTs, gaming, and DeFi applications. The good news, network growth, and positive market sentiment led the SUI price to reach a new all-time high of approximately €5.18.
