Chainlink Price History


  • In 2017 - Chainlink was launched in 2017 as an ERC-20 token on the Ethereum network by Sergey Nazarov and Steve Ellis, together with Cornell professor Ari Juels. Through an ICO, Chainlink was introduced with an initial trading price of about €0.15, but during this year the price rose to a yearly high of about €0.49.
  • In 2018 - Despite the bear market this year, Chainlink’s reputation grew because of its unique oracle technology. The price reached a peak of €1.15 in January but fell during the year to €0.16.
  • In 2019 - Chainlink went live on the Ethereum mainnet and was listed on major crypto exchanges. In addition, the demand for reliable data feeds within DeFi increased, pushing the price in June 2019 to a new all-time high of €3.26.
  • In 2020 - Due to the explosive growth of DeFi, Chainlink became the oracle standard, reaching a new peak of €16.13.
  • In 2021 - The bull market of 2021, the publication of “Chainlink 2.0,” and the further adoption of DeFi projects strengthened the demand for LINK tokens and pushed Chainlink to its all-time high of €42.93.
  • In 2022 - The collapse of Terra Luna and FTX caused a bear market in crypto. Chainlink dropped back to a low of €5.58.
  • In 2024 - Chainlink launched its Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) and also announced a partnership with SWIFT. Because of these developments, Chainlink gained more trust in the market and the price rose to a yearly high of €27.95.
  • In 2025 - Chainlink received the ISO 27001 and SOC 2 certificates, which increased institutional interest.
