  • 2017 - Price range: €0,02671 - €0,5408
    Request held its public token sale in October. The price was around €0,027 at the start of November and rose quickly in December, peaking above €0,54. On December 18, Colossus appeared, a first working demo on the Rinkeby testnet that let users create payment Requests and pay with test ETH. REQ ended the year around €0,50.
  • 2018 - Price range: €0,01623 - €0,9844
    REQ started January around €0,51 and climbed to nearly €0,98 in the first week. After that, the price fell for a long time and ended the year around €0,018, about 96.4% lower than at the start. In March, the beta of Request went live on Ethereum, allowing users to create and pay payment Requests with real ETH. That milestone came during the broad bear market in crypto.
  • 2019 - Price range: €0,007674 - €0,02959
    REQ started the year around €0,018 and rose to nearly €0,030 in the spring. After that, the price gradually fell, hitting a low around €0,0077 in September. In June, Request released the public testnet beta of protocol version 2, a new base for further scalability and privacy features. In August, Request Invoicing launched, an app that let businesses track invoices and payments. After the summer, REQ pulled back, but it ended the year around €0,024, about 151.7% higher than at the start.

    REQ started January around €0,024 and climbed in the following months. In August, the token became tradable through Coinbase, making REQ available to more customers of that major crypto exchange. At the end of November, the price briefly surged to nearly €0,96, followed by a sharp drop. REQ ended the year around €0,33, making it about 1,242.2% higher over the full year.
  • 2022 - Price range: €0,06579 - €0,3601
    REQ started January around €0,33 and briefly rose above €0,36 that month. After that, the price dropped sharply. In May, TerraUSD collapsed, exposing the weakness of certain stablecoins and causing unrest in the crypto market. The collapse of FTX in November led to new broad market stress. REQ ended the year around €0,079, about 75.8% lower than at the start.

    REQ started January around €0,079 and rose to nearly €0,12 in February. After that, the price gradually fell to about €0,057 in September. In March, USDC temporarily lost its peg to the dollar when concerns arose about reserves at Silicon Valley Bank. That showed how dependent fiat-backed stablecoins can be on banks. REQ later recovered and ended the year around €0,087, about 9.9% higher than at the start.

    REQ started January around €0,087 and rose to about €0,218 in March. Early that year, the U.S. SEC approved the listing of spot bitcoin ETFs, giving investors access to bitcoin through regulated investment products. After the peak, REQ fell to about €0,064 in the summer, after which the price recovered. REQ ended the year around €0,129, about 48.5% higher than at the start.

    REQ started January around €0,129, but fell to about €0,076 in early February. After that, the price recovered and rose to nearly €0,154 in May. In 2025, Request kept working on its API and support for split payments, which lets multiple payments be linked to one payment Request. After the peak, the price fell again; REQ ended the year around €0,088, about 31.9% lower than at the start.

In March, Request and Storacha announced a payment product offered through decentralized hosting.     REQ started April around €0,0565. The price briefly shot up to nearly €0,15 in the middle of the month, but then fell back. In June, Request added large-scale stablecoin payments across six EVM chains and USDT payments via Tron. This let businesses bundle payments to, for example, employees or suppliers. REQ ended June around €0,0449, about 70% lower than April's peak.

    REQ started July around €0,0449 and first moved mostly sideways. At the end of July, there was a short bounce to about €0,070, after which the price fell back again. During the same period, Request enabled USDT payments via Tron without users first needing TRX. In August, a connection with Safe followed, allowing organizations to authorize payments with multiple approvals. REQ ended September around €0,0503, about 12% higher than at the start of the quarter.

    From October 1 through October 9, REQ first moved around €0,05 before the price dropped to about €0,0458 on October 8. After that, there was a small recovery, and on October 9 REQ was around €0,0486, about 3.4% lower than on October 1.
