  • 2018 - Price range: €0.0162 - €0.2922
    QKC peaked in June at around €0.29, but dropped sharply in the weeks after that. By mid-August, the price was around €0.016. After that, it partially recovered and ended the year around €0.035. QuarkChain launched its public testnet in July, a test version of the network with 256 shards and 6,450 nodes.
  • 2019 - Price range: €0.0025 - €0.0466
    QKC started the year around €0.035 and climbed to about €0.047 in April. After that, the price gradually fell, with a brief bounce at the end of June, and ended the year around €0.0025. QuarkChain launched its Singularity mainnet in April: the network moved from testing to live use and supported Ethereum smart contracts and cross-shard transactions. The price ended about 93% lower than at the start of the year.
  • 2020 - Price range: €0.0012 - €0.0088
    QKC dropped in March to about €0.0012 during the financial shock caused by COVID-19. After that, the price recovered and rose to about €0.0088 in August. In the final months, QKC pulled back and ended the year around €0.0041, still about 65.9% higher than at the start. In December, QuarkChain began the first phase of BigBang, an upgrade that gave projects the ability to create their own tokens at the protocol level.
  • 2021 - Price range: €0.0041 - €4.03
    QKC started the year around €0.0041 and rose sharply in the spring. On April 25, QKC had an unusual spike to about €4.03. The price closed around those days at about €0.02. In September, Chinese authorities tightened restrictions on crypto companies and crypto trading. QKC ended the year around €0.0176.
  • 2022 - Price range: €0.0064 - €0.0306
    QKC started the year around €0.0176 and rose to about €0.0306 in early April. After that, the price fell, with a brief bounce in the fall, and ended the year around €0.0068. That drop happened in a rough year for the crypto market: the collapse of Terra and UST caused major turmoil in May, followed by the fall of FTX in November. QKC ended about 61.4% lower than at the start of the year.
  • 2023 - Price range: €0.0062 - €0.0171
    QKC rose in January and climbed to about €0.0171 in February. After that, the price fell back and reached about €0.0062 in September. Toward the end of the year, QKC recovered to around €0.0099. On the last day of the year, QuarkChain announced that it wanted to turn the project into an Ethereum Layer 2. That was an important change in direction for the project, but the move had not been carried out yet at that point.
  • 2024 - Price range: €0.00491 - €0.01796
    QKC started the year around €0.0099 and rose to about €0.018 in March. After that, the price fell to around €0.0049 in August, followed by a recovery to about €0.0094 at the end of the year. Ethereum activated Dencun in March, an upgrade that made it cheaper for rollups to post data on Ethereum. That mattered for QuarkChain's announced plans to become an Ethereum Layer 2. The price ended the year about 4.5% lower than at the start.
  • 2025 - Price range: €0.0031459 - €0.0130454
    QKC rose in January to about €0.013, but then kept falling with some swings along the way. In December, the price dropped to around €0.0031 and ended the year at about €0.0034, a decline of 64% compared with the start. In May, the community approved the move from QuarkChain's own Layer 1 to an Ethereum Layer 2. In August, the Gamma testnet followed, a test version for the planned Layer 2.
  • Q1 2026 - Price range: €0.0024226 - €0.0050483
    QKC started the quarter around €0.0034 and briefly rose to about €0.005 in early February. Soon after that, the price fell to around €0.0024 and mostly stayed around €0.0027 in March. QKC ended the quarter around €0.0026, about 24.3% lower than at the start. In January, QuarkChain reported that its Super World Computer Layer 2 had been deployed on Ethereum mainnet. However, the network was still being tested in phases and was not yet fully available to the public.
  • Q2 2026 - Price range: €0.0013462 - €0.00303075
    QKC moved fairly steadily around €0.0026 in April and rose to about €0.0030 in May. In June, the price dropped sharply to around €0.00135, and then partially recovered. The quarter ended around €0.0017, about 33.4% lower than it started. In June, Binance announced that deposits and withdrawals of QKC via BNB Smart Chain would stop; trading in QKC and other supported networks remained outside that change.

    QKC moved around €0.0017 in July and for most of August. From late August, the price moved up and reached about €0.0031 in early September. After that, QKC pulled back and ended the quarter around €0.00245, still 43.5% higher than at the start. At the end of September, QuarkChain released version 1.7.0 of its existing mainnet software, including improvements to transaction processing and token balances.
  • Q4 2026 - Price range: €0.0022054 - €0.0029452
    Through October 9, QKC first moved around €0.0025 and then fell to about €0.0022. After that, the price recovered to around €0.0024. On October 6, FinCEN withdrew earlier proposals for stricter requirements around crypto mixing and certain transactions involving non-custodial crypto wallets. The withdrawal changed the U.S. policy direction, but left existing anti-money laundering rules unchanged.
