  • 2017 - Price range: €2,855 - €65,82
    At the end of May, Qtum was around €2.86. The price quickly climbed above €16 in June, pulled back in July, and later rose again. In September, the Qtum mainnet went live: the network became operational and supported smart contracts. In December, Qtum surged to €65,82 and ended the year around €51,99.
  • 2018 - Price range: €1,297 - €88,86
    Qtum started the year around €51,92 and briefly rose to €88,86 in January. That was followed by a long decline, with a recovery in April that did not reverse the downtrend. This happened during the broader shift into the crypto winter. In December, the price fell to about €1,30 and ended the year around €1,87, about 96,4% lower than at the start of the year.
  • 2019 - Price range: €1,335 - €5,20
    Qtum started the year around €1,88 and mostly moved between about €1,50 and €2,50 in the first few months. In June, the price quickly climbed to €5,20, after which a long decline followed. In October, the network got an upgrade with Qtum 2.0 through a hard fork, with changes to how it works and extra features. Qtum ended the year around €1,44, about 23,7% lower than at the start.
  • 2020 - Price range: €0,6886 - €4,515
    Qtum started the year around €1,44, but during the market stress in March it fell to about €0,69. That drop lined up with the broader liquidity crisis in the crypto market and forced selling. After that, the price recovered and rose to €4,51 in August. That year, Qtum also activated offline staking, which let holders count their coins toward staking without transferring them. By the end of December, Qtum had fallen back to about €1,83.
  • 2021 - Price range: €1,809 - €29,33
    Qtum started the year around €1,83 and rose quickly in the spring. On April 30, the FastLane upgrade went live: blocks started coming faster, and the block reward was adjusted. In early May, the price climbed to €29,33. After that came a sharp pullback. In December, the first block reward halving was also completed: the staking reward dropped from 1 to 0,5 Qtum per block. The price ended the year around €7,67, about 73,8% lower than the peak.
  • 2022 - Price range: €1,664 - €8,854
    Qtum started the year around €7,67 and gradually kept sliding after a short bounce. In May, Terra and the UST stablecoin collapsed, causing heavy stress in the crypto and DeFi markets. In November, broad turmoil followed after the fall of FTX. Qtum ended the year around €1,71, about 77,7% lower than at the start. In May, Qtum also released Core v22.0, including new smart contract features; the software release was not yet the activation of the upgrade on the mainnet.
  • 2023 - Price range: €1,700 - €3,989
    Qtum started the year around €1,71 and quickly rose to nearly €3,99 in January and February. After that, the price pulled back and mostly moved around €2 to €3 for months. In March, the problems at Silicon Valley Bank, Signature Bank, and Silvergate caused concern among crypto companies and across the crypto market. Qtum later recovered during the year and ended December around €3,31, about 93,8% higher than at the start of the year.
  • 2024 - Price range: €1,631 - €5,728
    Qtum started the year around €3,31 and quickly rose to €5,73 in March. After that, the price fell in steps, with a low of about €1,63 in August. In January, the SEC approved exchange-traded products that gave investors access to bitcoin through the regular securities market. In the first half of the year, Qtum also launched the AI products Solstice and Qurator. Qtum later recovered partially and ended the year around €2,90, about 12,4% lower than at the start.
  • 2025 - Price range: €1,005 - €4,749
    Qtum started the year around €2,90 and rose to €4,75 in February. After that, the price declined for most of the year. At the end of November, Qtum's second halving was completed: the block reward went from 0,5 to 0,25 Qtum, which meant fewer new Qtum were added per block. The price fell to about €1,00 in December and ended the year around €1,15, about 60,5% lower than at the start.
  • Q1 2026 - Price range: €0,6039 - €1,427
    Qtum briefly rose to about €1,43 in January, but then dropped sharply. On January 11, the v29.1 upgrade went live, with improvements to the network and support for cryptographic applications that can be useful for zero-knowledge apps. The price reached about €0,60 at the end of February and then partially recovered. Qtum ended the quarter around €0,77, about 33,1% lower than at the start.
  • Q2 2026 - Price range: €0,5581 - €1,038
    Qtum started April around €0,76 and initially mostly moved sideways. In May, the price briefly rose to about €1,04, after which it declined. On June 2, Qtum introduced the beta version of AI Router. It gives access to multiple AI models through one API key, with a central payment system based on pre-purchased Qtum credit. By the end of June, the price was around €0,59, about 22,1% lower than at the start of the quarter.
  • Q3 2026 - Price range: €0,5402 - €0,9519
    Qtum started July around €0,59 and fell to about €0,54 in August. After that, the price recovered gradually, with a faster rise in the second half of August and in September. In August, the SEC proposed new rules for certain crypto asset offerings. In September, U.S. legislation for a broader regulatory framework for crypto was delayed after the Senate did not move the proposal forward. Qtum rose to €0,9519 at the end of September and ended the quarter around €0,88, about 50,2% higher than at the start.
  • Q4 2026 - Price range: €0,7958 - €0,9223
    At the start of October, Qtum was trading around €0,88 and briefly rose to about €0,92. After that, it fell back to about €0,80 and recovered slightly to around €0,84 on October 9.
