Bancor Price History


  • 2017 - Price range: €1.18 - €21.30
    BNT peaked in June at around €21.30, but dropped sharply soon after to about €1.18. In the months that followed, the price gradually recovered and ended the year at around €4.40. On June 12, Bancor raised about $153 million through the sale of BNT for its system that lets tokens be traded via smart contracts.
  • 2018 - Price range: €0.41 - €8.89
    BNT started the year at around €4.41 and rose in January to about €8.89. After that, the price fell for almost the entire year; by the end of December, it was around €0.54, about 87.7% lower than at the start of the year. In July, Bancor was hit by a hack: an attacker stole ETH, NPXS, and BNT, among other assets. Bancor froze the stolen BNT and temporarily put the platform into maintenance.
  • 2019 - Price range: €0.20 - €0.77
    BNT started the year at around €0.54 and climbed to about €0.77 in June. After that, the price kept falling, to around €0.20 in December, and ended the year at about €0.23. In July, Bancor limited token swaps through its website for U.S. users because of regulatory uncertainty. Holding and sending tokens remained possible.
  • 2020 - Price range: €0.11 - €2.33
    BNT dropped to about €0.11 in March, but then recovered strongly. The price rose to around €2.33 in the summer and then pulled back; by the end of December, BNT was around €1.04. From the start of the year, that meant the price was about 349.6% higher. In October, Bancor v2.1 went live. This version made it possible to add liquidity to a pool with just one token and offered protection against impermanent loss when providing liquidity.
  • 2021 - Price range: €1.01 - €7.87
    BNT rose quickly from about €1.04 at the start of the year and peaked in March at around €7.87. After that came a pullback, with more swings during the rest of the year. By the end of December, the price was around €2.84, still about 173.8% higher than at the start of the year. In September, forced selling of borrowed positions triggered a broad wave of liquidations across the crypto market. That year, the Bancor DAO also approved a proposal for Bancor Vortex, with plans to use part of the trading fees to buy back and burn vBNT tokens.
  • 2022 - Price range: €0.28 - €3.14
    BNT started the year at around €2.84 and then fell sharply. In June, Bancor paused the issuance of BNT meant to compensate liquidity providers for losses. During that pause, users no longer received the protection that had previously been promised. The collapse of Terra and UST in May and the fall of FTX in November also caused heavy turmoil in the crypto market. BNT ended the year at around €0.33, about 88.3% lower than at the start.
  • 2023 - Price range: €0.30 - €1.83
    BNT started the year at around €0.33 and mostly traded near that level through the summer. In August, it bounced sharply; by November, the price had climbed to about €1.83. After that, BNT pulled back and ended the year at around €0.67, still about 102.3% higher than at the start. In April, Bancor launched Carbon on Ethereum. With this platform, users can set buy and sell strategies within price ranges they choose themselves, instead of only adding tokens to a shared pool.
  • 2024 - Price range: €0.35 - €0.97
    BNT rose in the first few months from about €0.67 to nearly €0.97. After that, the price fell, hitting a low of around €0.35 in August, and then recovered. By the end of December, BNT was around €0.63, about 6% lower than at the start of the year. In January, the U.S. SEC approved exchange rules for several spot bitcoin ETFs. That gave investors a regulated way to get exposure to bitcoin through exchange-traded products, against the backdrop of a broader rally in the crypto market.
  • 2025 - Price range: €0.29 - €0.81
    BNT briefly rose to about €0.81 in January, but then declined. In April, the price fell to around €0.29 and then partially recovered. BNT ended the year at around €0.34, about 45.5% lower than at the start. In May, Bancor entities went to court with a patent case against parties behind Uniswap. Later that year, an unexpected U.S. tariff announcement triggered a major wave of forced selling across the crypto market.
  • Q1 2026 - Price range: €0.20 - €0.44
    BNT started the quarter at around €0.34 and briefly rose to about €0.44 in early January. In the weeks that followed, the price fell to around €0.20 in February. BNT then partially recovered and ended the quarter at around €0.25, about 28.3% lower than at the start. During the same period, the crypto market saw a broad pullback. A U.S. court also dismissed Bancor's patent complaint against Uniswap parties, but gave it room to amend the complaint.
  • Q2 2026 - Price range: €0.21 - €0.38
    BNT started April at around €0.25 and later that month briefly climbed to about €0.38. After that, the price moved around €0.27 to €0.30 for a while. In June, BNT fell further and ended the quarter at around €0.22, about 12.8% lower than at the start. This happened alongside a broader correction in the crypto market, more ETF outflows, and a drop in the total amount of stablecoins.
  • Q3 2026 - Price range: €0.21 - €0.32
    BNT started July at around €0.22 and gradually rose over the course of the quarter. After a quiet period in August, the price kept climbing in September to about €0.32. By the end of September, BNT was around €0.31, about 42.3% higher than at the start of the quarter. The rise took place during a crypto market recovery led mainly by bitcoin and ether.
  • Q4 2026 - Price range: €0.27 - €0.32
    BNT started October at around €0.31 and briefly rose to about €0.32. After that, the price fell back to around €0.27 and recovered slightly. On October 9, BNT was around €0.29, about 6.6% lower than at the start of the quarter.
