  • 2017 - Price range: €0.02348 - €0.3886
    LRC started around €0.03 in September and rose sharply in the last months of the year. In August, Loopring held its public token sale, introducing LRC as the token for the trading protocol. In December, the price reached about €0.39 and ended the year around €0.38. That same month, CME introduced regulated bitcoin futures, an important step for the broader crypto market.
  • 2018 - Price range: €0.0283 - €2.171
    LRC climbed quickly in early January and rose to about €2.17. After that, it entered a long decline, with a temporary recovery in the spring. By the end of the year, the price was around €0.035, about 90.9% lower than at the start. In December, Loopring Protocol 2.0 was rolled out. This allowed groups of matching transactions to be settled in a single transaction, which was meant to make trading more efficient.
  • 2019 - Price range: €0.01787 - €0.1008
    LRC rose in the first part of the year and reached about €0.10 in April. After that, the price gradually declined, with a brief rebound in the summer. In December, Loopring was working on rolling out version 3.0 on Ethereum. This version used zero-knowledge proofs to bundle trading activity so transactions could be processed more scalably. LRC ended the year around €0.019, about 44.5% lower than at the start.
  • 2020 - Price range: €0.01821 - €0.2522
    LRC started the year around €0.019 and briefly dropped to about €0.018 in March. After that, the price recovered and rose sharply in the summer and early fall, reaching about €0.25 in September. Loopring Exchange became publicly available in February as a trading platform that bundles transactions on Ethereum. In March, the Federal Reserve cut interest rates to nearly zero and announced large bond purchases, against the backdrop of the pandemic. LRC ended the year around €0.139, about 620.4% higher than at the start.
  • 2021 - Price range: €0.1373 - €3.331
    LRC started the year around €0.139 and rose sharply over the course of the year. After swings in the spring, the price climbed quickly from October and reached about €3.33 in November. That was followed by a pullback; LRC ended the year around €1.84, still about 1,224.1% higher than at the start. Ethereum activated the London upgrade in August, with a new system for transaction fees. In December, Loopring released a Counterfactual Wallet, allowing users to use Layer 2 without first having to create a full Ethereum wallet contract.
  • 2022 - Price range: €0.1745 - €1.873
    LRC started the year around €1.84, but then fell sharply. After a temporary recovery in March, the price kept dropping and ended the year around €0.175, about 90.5% lower than at the start. The collapse of TerraUSD and LUNA led to heavy losses and stress in the crypto and DeFi market in May. In July, the public beta of the GameStop NFT marketplace went live, built with Loopring's Layer 2. In November, the collapse of FTX caused fresh turmoil in the crypto market.
  • 2023 - Price range: €0.1507 - €0.4614
    LRC rose from about €0.175 at the start of the year to around €0.46 in February. After that, the price gradually declined and reached about €0.151 in October. In the final months, it recovered to around €0.271 by the end of the year, about 54.9% higher than at the start. Loopring introduced staking for LRC on Layer 2. This allowed holders to share in protocol fees without new tokens being issued for it. In May, the EU formally adopted MiCA, a joint regulatory framework for crypto issuers and service providers.
  • 2024 - Price range: €0.09265 - €0.5098
    LRC rose in the first months and climbed to about €0.51 in March. After that, the price dropped sharply, hitting a low around €0.093 in August, followed by a partial recovery. LRC ended the year around €0.187, about 30.9% lower than at the start. In June, Loopring's Guardian service two-factor verification was hacked. That allowed attackers to take over wallets that used only the Official Guardian. Funds were stolen in the attack. In early 2024, the U.S. SEC approved several spot bitcoin ETPs, a major new regulated way to get exposure to bitcoin.
  • 2025 - Price range: €0.03963 - €0.2173
    LRC started the year around €0.187 and briefly rose to about €0.217 in January. After that, the price mostly declined over the year, reaching about €0.0396 in December. LRC ended around €0.042, about 77.6% lower than at the start. Loopring ended support for its mobile Smart Wallet at the end of June. Users were told in advance to move their funds. The underlying smart contracts remained in place, but the trusted app interface and support disappeared. Loopring also stopped DeFi products such as Dual Investment and Portal.
  • Q1 2026 - Price range: €0.01042 - €0.04842
    LRC started January around €0.042 and briefly rose to about €0.048. After that, the price fell sharply and ended the first quarter around €0.017, about 59.5% lower than at the start. In March, Binance announced that it would remove all LRC spot pairs starting April 1. The announcement meant that a major crypto exchange would stop trading LRC; the change only took effect in the following quarter.
  • Q2 2026 - Price range: €0.008625 - €0.02427
    LRC started April around €0.017 and fell to about €0.0086 in the middle of the month. After that, the price mostly moved around €0.014 and ended June at about €0.0104, a drop of 38.7% compared with the start of the quarter. Binance removed the LRC spot pairs on April 1. On June 28, Loopring shut down its decentralized exchange and immediately took the relayer offline because, according to the team, there was not enough meaningful usage. The team said remaining user funds would be returned through an update to the smart contracts.
  • Q3 2026 - Price range: €0.006497 - €0.01833
    LRC started July around €0.0104 and briefly rose to about €0.0183 in the middle of that month. After that, the price gradually fell to about €0.0065 in August and partially recovered. By the end of September, LRC was around €0.0091, about 12.7% lower than at the start of the quarter. In September, Luno stopped incoming LRC deposits for customers in Indonesia, Malaysia, Nigeria, and South Africa. The crypto exchange linked this to the permanent shutdown of Loopring's network services.
  • Q4 2026 - Price range: €0.008349 - €0.009976
    LRC was around €0.0091 at the start of October and rose to nearly €0.01 on October 4. After that, the price fell back to about €0.00835. After a brief recovery, LRC dropped again and was around €0.00848 on October 13. On October 8, Luno stopped spot trading in LRC for customers in Indonesia, Malaysia, Nigeria, and South Africa. That further limited access to trading through this crypto exchange in those regions.
