Gnosis Price History


  • 2017 - Price range: €43.68 - €339.91
    In May, GNO rose quickly and peaked around €339.91 at the end of June. After that, GNO dropped sharply. In November, the price was around €43.68, after which it recovered to €175.15 by the end of the year. In July, the SEC said that tokens from The DAO could fall under U.S. securities laws. That was important for token sales in the Ethereum sector, but it did not specifically concern GNO.
  • 2018 - Price range: €7.65 - €383.16
    GNO briefly rose to around €383.16 in early January, but then fell for almost the entire year. By the end of March, the price was around €47, and in December it dropped to €7.65. GNO ended the year at €9.29, about 94.7% lower than at the start. In November, the SEC took action against two unregistered token sales. That gave a concrete follow-up to earlier warnings about the rules for ICOs.
  • 2019 - Price range: €7.81 - €27.82
    GNO fell to €7.81 in February and then rose quickly. By the end of May, the price had climbed to about €27.82. After that, GNO gradually slipped back and ended the year at €10.06, about 8.2% higher than at the start. In the fourth quarter, Gnosis launched Gnosis Safe Multisig, an updated crypto wallet that let groups manage crypto together.
  • 2020 - Price range: €6.35 - €63.60
    GNO started the year around €10 and rose to nearly €20 in February. In March, the price dropped to €6.35 during the pandemic shock. After that, GNO recovered steadily and kept climbing in the second half of the year, reaching above €60 in December. GNO closed at €61.81, about 514.7% higher than at the start of the year. In November, Gnosis launched GnosisDAO, giving the community more influence over ecosystem management through proposals and votes.
  • 2021 - Price range: €57.40 - €957.37
    GNO rose strongly over the course of the year, from about €62 in January to a peak around €957 in November. After that peak, the price pulled back and ended the year at €467.84. That was still about 657% higher than at the start of the year. In 2021, the communities of xDai and GnosisDAO voted to merge their ecosystems into Gnosis Chain. That expanded Gnosis's role into blockchain infrastructure.
  • 2022 - Price range: €75.27 - €506.91
    GNO started the year around €468 and rose further in March to about €506.91. After that, the price fell for almost the entire year. In May, Terra and UST collapsed, causing heavy stress in the crypto and DeFi market. The collapse of FTX again caused broad market turmoil in November. GNO dropped to €75.27 in November and ended the year at €77.52, about 83.4% lower than at the start. In December, Gnosis Chain switched to permissionless proof of stake, allowing anyone with one GNO to take part in the network as a validator.
  • 2023 - Price range: €76.99 - €282.87
    GNO started the year around €77 and rose sharply in the fall. In early December, the price climbed to about €282.87, after which it fell back and ended the year at €178.08. That was about 129.7% higher than at the start of the year. In July, Gnosis introduced Gnosis Pay and the Gnosis Card. That let users connect their self-custody crypto account to everyday card payments.
  • 2024 - Price range: €118.99 - €409.04
    GNO rose in the first months of the year and reached about €409.04 in March. After that, the price fell back to €118.99 in August, followed by a recovery. GNO ended the year at €256.32, about 44% higher than at the start. In May, Thanefield Capital proposed using $30 million from the GnosisDAO treasury for GNO buybacks. After this proposal, the GNO price rose.
  • 2025 - Price range: €82.30 - €282.12
    GNO was around €256 at the start of January and briefly rose to about €282. After that, the price dropped sharply. In April, it fell to €82.30, after which GNO partially recovered and ended the year at €107.32. That was about 58.1% lower than at the start of the year. In January, GnosisDAO completed the previously approved program to buy back $30 million worth of GNO.
  • Q1 2026 - Price range: €67.31 - €131.27
    GNO rose above €127 in January, but then dropped sharply. In February, the price fell to €67.31. After that, GNO recovered and climbed to about €131.27 in March before falling back again. GNO ended the quarter at €106.08, almost the same as at the start. On March 17, the SEC and the CFTC published an explanation of how U.S. securities rules can apply to different types of crypto, including staking and wrapped tokens.
  • Q2 2026 - Price range: €67.14 - €168.73
    GNO traded around €106 in April and briefly peaked above €168 in early May. After that, the price fell, with a low of €67.14 in June. By the end of the quarter, GNO recovered to €91.24, but the price was still about 13.9% lower than at the start. In June, Gnosis Pay was hit by a vulnerability in smart contract modules used to secure user accounts. Gnosis temporarily shut down card services, worked to contain the issue, and restored user balances at its own expense. In May, Gnosis Limited also announced that it had decided to shut down Gnosis Business and reduce the size of the organization.
  • Q3 2026 - Price range: €86.77 - €157.14
    GNO was around €91 at the start of July and briefly rose to about €157.14 in the middle of that month. The price then pulled back and mostly moved between about €90 and €105 in August and September. GNO ended the quarter at €105.62, about 15.8% higher than at the start. Starting on September 1, the Gnosis App stopped taking new marketplace orders and the G-collectible no longer generated extra spending rewards. The app remained usable for existing balances, card use, and Circles-related features.
  • Q4 2026 - Price range: €101.31 - €114.79
    In the first days of October, GNO moved between €101.31 and €114.79. After that, the price fell back and stood at €102.97 on October 9, about 2.5% lower than on October 1. On October 8, the xDai Bridge and Omnibridge activated the Fast Confirmation Rule for transfers from Ethereum. As a result, transfers can usually be processed after a quick confirmation, without normally having to wait for Ethereum's full finality.

Upcoming Technical Updates


  • Gnosis EEZ - Expected in December 2026 or January 2027 - Gnosis Chain wants to move to a rollup within the Ethereum Economic Zone, with Ethereum taking over settlement and security for transactions from the current validator group. Existing addresses, balances, apps, and xDAI as transaction fees should remain unchanged. The timeline is still tentative and depends on the development of the needed technology.
  • Gnosis Pay consumer card and web app closure - Expected in December 2026 - Gnosis Pay will stop payments and cash withdrawals through existing consumer cards on December 20. Most of the web app will also shut down. Users will keep control of their crypto in their Safe and can continue to withdraw their funds. Gnosis Pay will remain active as a provider of card infrastructure for other financial service providers and crypto apps.
