Casper Price History


  • 2021 - Price range: €0.043 - €1.123
    Casper launched its mainnet on March 31, bringing the network live for transactions, staking, and smart contracts. The price peaked in May at around €1.12, then dropped quickly and fell to about €0.043 in July. A recovery followed in August, after which the price climbed to around €0.21 in November. By the end of December, CSPR was at about €0.10: 91% lower than the May peak.
  • 2022 - Price range: €0.02129 - €0.1212
    CSPR started the year around €0.10 and rose to about €0.12 in early January. After that, the price fell for most of the year, with a short bounce in the spring. In May, TerraUSD and LUNA collapsed, causing major turmoil in the crypto market. The FTX collapse in November brought new market stress. CSPR ended the year around €0.0257, about 74.4% lower than at the start.
  • 2023 - Price range: €0.02567 - €0.05773
    CSPR rose from about €0.0257 at the start of the year to around €0.0577 in April. After that, the price pulled back and mostly moved between €0.03 and €0.04 for months, with a bounce in December. In August, Casper 1.5 went live. This upgrade made it faster for nodes to update and simplified staking redelegation. CSPR ended the year around €0.0465, about 80.7% higher than at the start.
  • 2024 - Price range: €0.005718 - €0.05179
    CSPR started January around €0.0465 and reached about €0.0518 that month. After that, the price fell for a long time, down to around €0.0057 in November. In July, the Casper network was shut down after a security incident. Validators resumed transaction validation on July 31 after a fix had been prepared. In the final months, CSPR recovered, but the price ended the year around €0.0145, about 68.9% lower than at the start.
  • 2025 - Price range: €0.00352 - €0.024516
    CSPR started the year around €0.0145 and rose to about €0.0245 in May. In the same month, Casper 2.0 went live. The upgrade replaced the earlier consensus mechanism and brought contract-based staking to the network, among other things. After that, the price kept falling and CSPR ended the year around €0.00361, about 75.1% lower than at the start. In October, a sudden sell-off in the crypto market, with lots of forced liquidations, caused broad market stress.
  • Q1 2026 - Price range: €0.0023645 - €0.00515
    CSPR briefly rose to about €0.00515 in early January, but then fell back. By the end of February, the price was around €0.00236. In March, Casper 2.2.0 was activated, with a one-time issuance of new CSPR and an adjusted split of annual inflation: 6% for validator rewards and 2% for ecosystem development and management. The price then partly recovered and ended the quarter around €0.002734, 24.3% lower than at the start.
  • Q2 2026 - Price range: €0.00150365 - €0.0033519
    CSPR started April around €0.00273 and mostly moved sideways at first. In mid-May, the price briefly rose to about €0.00335, after which the decline began. By the end of June, CSPR was around €0.00150; the price ended the quarter at about €0.00181, 33.8% lower than at the start. In June, Casper introduced an AI Toolkit and x402 payments on mainnet, allowing software agents to make payments for digital services and interact with the blockchain.
  • Q3 2026 - Price range: €0.001278 - €0.00287525
    CSPR fell to about €0.001278 in July. After that, the price recovered strongly and rose to around €0.00288 in August. In September, CSPR mostly moved between €0.0023 and €0.0025. The quarter ended at about €0.00233, 28.8% higher than at the start. In July, CSPR became available to eligible Kraken users in the U.S., giving them another place to trade the token.
  • Q4 2026 - Price range: €0.0020212 - €0.0023995
    CSPR started October around €0.00233 and briefly rose to about €0.00240. After that, the price fell to around €0.00202 on October 8, followed by a small recovery. Around the same time, the U.S. regulator CFTC opened a consultation on possible rules for crypto transactions and trading platforms, including leveraged trading. No final new rules had been set yet.

Upcoming Technical Updates


  • AstralBeam mainnet launch - timing not yet known - AstralBeam is in the public testnet phase. After further testing and security checks, the bridge is set to launch on mainnet. The bridge will make it possible to move tokens both ways between Casper and supported EVM networks, including Ethereum, Base, and Polygon. No final launch date has been announced yet.
