What is SuperVerse (SUPER)?

SuperVerse is a Web3 ecosystem that aims to connect different games, DeFi protocols, and other digital applications through one token: SUPER.

The platform mainly focuses on gamers, game developers, and Web3 projects. SUPER can be integrated into different connected applications, so users can use the same token across multiple parts of the ecosystem. For developers, this offers a way to access an existing community and liquidity.

SuperVerse originally started as SuperFarm, a protocol centered on DeFi and NFTs. The project was later expanded and renamed SuperVerse, with a stronger focus on gaming and a broader network of Web3 integrations. Today, DeFi and AI also play a role in the strategy.

An important part of the DeFi ecosystem is Blackhole, a DEX on Avalanche. Blackhole has its own token and governance, but it is closely connected to SuperVerse. Part of the protocol fees is used to buy back SUPER on the market.

SUPER is the utility and governance token of SuperVerse. Users can stake the token, use it within connected applications, and take part in governance.

How does SuperVerse (SUPER) work?

SuperVerse uses smart contracts to connect SUPER to different games, DeFi protocols, and other Web3 applications. Which features are available depends on the application where SUPER is integrated.

One important feature is DAO staking. Users can lock SUPER in the DAO Staker and receive ETH rewards for it. These rewards come from funds added to the staking contract. Staked SUPER also gives voting rights within SuperVerse's governance.

Through the SuperVerse DAO, token holders can vote on so-called SuperVerse Improvement Proposals. In principle, one staked SUPER counts as one vote. Proposals can, for example, relate to the use of the DAO treasury, partnerships, or changes to existing processes.

SuperVerse also works with different games and DeFi protocols. Blackhole, for example, is a DEX on Avalanche that is part of the broader ecosystem. Ten percent of Blackhole's protocol fees is used programmatically to buy back SUPER.

SUPER was originally issued as an ERC-20 token on Ethereum. The official Ethereum contract remains the main token implementation. In addition, official SUPER contracts exist on Base, Polygon, Avalanche, Soneium, and BNB Smart Chain.

SuperVerse does not have its own blockchain or consensus mechanism. Transactions are processed by the blockchain where SUPER or the relevant application is used. For the original Ethereum token, this means the network depends on Ethereum's Proof of Stake mechanism.

The total supply is fixed at 1,000,000,000 SUPER. The original token allocations are now fully unlocked, although that does not mean all tokens are actually in circulation.

Who are the founders of SuperVerse?

SuperVerse traces its roots back to SuperFarm, which was launched in 2021 by Elliot Wainman, also known as EllioTrades.

Wainman is a crypto entrepreneur and content creator who mainly focuses on Web3, gaming, NFTs, and DeFi. SuperFarm started as a protocol centered on NFTs and staking and was later expanded and renamed SuperVerse.

Elliot Wainman also founded Super Studios together with Dave Murray. This company is involved in developing different Web3 games and products within the broader SuperVerse ecosystem.

Dave Murray can therefore be described as a co-founder of Super Studios, but not as a co-founder of the original SuperFarm protocol without further support. Jeff Solomon has also been involved with Super Studios in an operational leadership role, but is not considered a founder of SuperVerse.
