Additional Information about Solayer (LAYER)

What Is Solayer (LAYER)?

Solayer (LAYER) is a Solana-native restaking and SVM infrastructure project building an integrated stack for real-time finance. Its stack includes restaking through sSOL, an RWA-backed stablecoin called sUSD, payment rails through Solayer Pay, and a hardware-optimized Layer-1 called infiniSVM. The project is focused on boosting dApp bandwidth on Solana, enabling configurable blockspace and security for applications, and managing governance and ecosystem coordination through the LAYER token.

Solayer is mainly designed for applications that need ultra-low latency, high throughput, and strong composability, such as payments, DeFi, and high-frequency on-chain systems. By combining restaking with specialized infrastructure, the project connects the liquidity of staked SOL with services and tools that run directly on Solana.

How Does Solayer (LAYER) Work?

Solayer works through a technical stack built around restaking, where sSOL is minted from staked SOL and liquid staking tokens (LSTs). It also includes an Active Verification Service (AVS) marketplace that allocates restaked stake to applications. The stack further includes sUSD, a yield-bearing and RWA-backed stablecoin, Solayer Pay as on-chain payment rails, and infiniSVM, a hardware-accelerated, SVM-compatible Layer-1 built for Solana VM workloads.

Solayer's products are designed to integrate with the Solana ecosystem. LAYER is issued as a Solana SPL token, and many services use SOL for gas. InfiniSVM remains compatible with the Solana Virtual Machine while adding network and validator optimizations. The technical documentation covers AVS designs, guardian and bridge mechanisms, and on-chain programs based on SPL token standards.

Consensus and transaction finality for Solayer deployments come from the underlying Solana network. Solana uses a hybrid design with Proof of History as a verifiable clock, combined with stake-weighted voting, Tower BFT, and Proof of Stake for validator selection and finality. Within this setup, the LAYER token serves as a governance tool and is also used in reward mechanisms for restaking and product incentives.

Who Are the Founders of Solayer?

Solayer was founded by Jason Li and Rachel Chu. Jason Li is often named in official communications as a co-founder and core leader of the project. Other public profiles and industry descriptions also identify Jason Li and Rachel Chu as co-founders.

In addition to those two co-founders, the project includes a core team and several contributors who are mentioned in blog posts and announcements. In its communications, Jason Li is presented as one of the leading figures on the team, alongside the broader group of engineers and contributors working on Solayer.
