How to stake Celestia (TIA) on Finst

  1. Step 1: Create your free account

Sign up and complete the registration process by verifying your email address and phone number, setting up your PIN in the app, and completing identity verification (KYC) to meet regulatory requirements. This helps keep the platform safe and compliant, and protects your account. Once your account is verified, you can access all features, including buying, depositing, and of course, staking.

  2. Step 2: Buy or deposit Celestia on your Finst account

You can easily buy Celestia (TIA) on the Finst desktop or mobile platform, or deposit TIA from an external wallet. Simply log in and fund your wallet to get started.

Verify your bank account and deposit euros for free via iDEAL, Bancontact or instant SEPA bank transfer. Buy TIA in seconds by placing a Market Order to purchase instantly at the best available price, or a Limit Order to set the price you want to pay. You can also deposit Celestia from an external wallet.

    It’s this simple:

    1. Go to Deposit, select Deposit crypto, and choose Celestia (TIA).
    2. Copy your Finst TIA wallet address using the Copy button.
    3. Paste your Finst TIA wallet address into the wallet or exchange you’re sending from (double-check every character, an incorrect address can result in lost funds).
    4. Send the TIA from your external wallet to your Finst wallet address.

  3. Step 3: Enable staking

Enabling staking at Finst is quick and easy. Go to the staking tab on our desktop or mobile platform (Menu > Staking) and click on the “Enable staking” button on top of the page. Staking will be enabled instantly for all the stakeable assets that you own, and you will start earning staking rewards from the next day.

  4. Step 4: Start earning

Once staking is enabled, you’ll start earning staking rewards automatically. No ongoing action is required, and you’ll receive your rewards in TIA every Monday.

  5. Step 5: Auto-compounding through restaking

Your staking rewards are automatically restaked. This means you earn rewards not only on your original TIA, but also on previously earned rewards, helping your balance grow through auto-compounding while you sit back and relax.

  6. Step 6: Monitor your rewards

Keep track of your rewards in the staking tab on our platform. Here you can view your total staked value, estimated annual rewards (APY), rewards earned so far, and an overview of all staked cryptocurrencies.

FAQ

  • Why is Celestia staking important?

Crypto staking is important because it helps secure and keep proof-of-stake blockchains running. In return for supporting the network, you can earn staking rewards, although these are not guaranteed and crypto always involves risks.
  • Can the estimated APYs change?

Yes, estimated APYs can change at any time due to changes in protocol rates and market conditions. Finst does not guarantee any rewards. If the APY changes, you will always see this reflected in the Finst app.
  • Which cryptoassets can I stake with Finst?

At Finst, you can stake the following cryptoassets for free: Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL), Tron (TRX), Cardano (ADA), Toncoin (TON), Polkadot (DOT), NEAR Protocol (NEAR), Polygon (POL), Algorand (ALGO), Cosmos (ATOM), Tezos (XTZ), Injective (INJ), Celestia (TIA), Kusama (KSM) and Core (CORE). Availability may change; check our app for the most up-to-date list.
  • Is it worth staking Celestia?

Staking Celestia can be a good way to earn additional passive income while also contributing to the security of the network. Keep in mind that your returns may vary per coin or per year, and may decrease if the price of Celestia falls significantly.
  • Is there a minimum amount required to start staking?

No, there is no minimum amount to start staking at Finst. You can stake all available coins with no minimum deposit.
  • Can I unstake my Celestia at any time?

At Finst, there is no lock-up period, meaning you can sell or withdraw your Celestia at any time, allowing you to retain full control over your TIA.
  • How much does Celestia staking cost?

There are no direct costs for staking Celestia (TIA) with Finst, and you can disable staking at any time without any commitment. We only charge a small commission to cover our operational costs and to provide this service to our clients. More information about the costs of staking can be found here.
  • Is my staked Celestia safe with Finst?

At Finst, we take all possible security measures to protect cryptoassets and work with carefully selected partners for staking. That said, crypto and staking always involve risks, and rewards are never guaranteed.
  • How do I receive my staking rewards?

Your staking rewards are paid out automatically and immediately restaked. This happens every Monday, without you needing to do anything.
  • Can I lose my TIA if I start staking?

Celestia works with carefully selected external technical service providers that reduce the risk of slashing and, in some cases, even offer insurance against slashing penalties (up to a certain limit). Despite these measures, slashing risk remains and cannot be fully eliminated. In addition, other technical issues on the blockchain, such as validator downtime, network outages, or software bugs, might occur.
